Below is a list of types of programs MAGT offers:
- Information Sessions and Recruiting Events
- Technical representatives and recruiters come to Georgia Tech to speak to students about the mission and values of this company, what interns/co-ops/full-time hires would do in a typical day, etc. Afterward, there will be a Q&A session followed by an opportunity for students to talk one-on-one with representatives, review resumes, and discuss potential next steps in the hiring process.
- Lunch and Learn (Industry Talks)
- A guest speaker from the industry will give a talk to MSE students about interesting topics related to the industry, their company, materials science, professional development, etc. This is a great opportunity to show students how materials science is applied within a specific sector in the industry. This can also include a material demo, where the speaker brings in an interesting product or model to give students a hands-on and interactive experience.
- Spring Career Fair
- Material Advantage works with the MSE department at Georgia Tech to organize a Spring Career Fair for the MSE community. 70% of attendees are undergraduate students while 30% are graduate students. 62% of students are seeking internships or co-ops, and 38% of students are looking for full-time job opportunities.
- Site Tours
- Students will be given an opportunity to tour your company and learn more about how materials science plays a role within the site.
- Office Days
- Technical representatives and recruiters are given full-day access to an office space or atrium space at Georgia Tech, and MSE students can come in at any time to ask questions about your company and discuss their potential fit. As an incentive, your company can offer free food to those who speak with you.
